Role of the Planning Committee

The CSES Planning Committee is the elected intellectual steering body of the project. A new Planning Committee is chosen for each five-year project cycle by election study collaborators worldwide at the CSES Plenary Meeting.

The committee is tasked with:

Formulating the central research questions and theoretical architecture of the new module.
Developing and testing core questionnaire batteries and stimuli items.
Establishing methodological guidelines for sampling, fieldwork timing, and non-response reporting.
Designing macro-level and district-level variable collection protocols.
