Winner of the 2025 GESIS Klingemann Prize Announced

The CSES Secretariat and GESIS are pleased to announce that Luana Russo (Maastricht University) and Paula Schulze Brock (University of Oxford) are the winners of the 2025 GESIS Klingemann Prize for their article “Mainstream partisans’ affective response to (non) cooperation with populist radical right parties” published in West European Politics. Official Study Name Change: Comparative Study of Election Surveys (CSES)

The project has officially updated its name from “Comparative Study of Electoral Systems” to the “Comparative Study of Election Surveys (CSES)”. While retaining the CSES acronym and decades of brand recognition, the updated title accurately reflects that the project conducts nationally representative surveys of the electorate linked to institutional data.
CSES Module 6: Second Advance Release Published
December 16, 2025
The Second Advance Release of CSES Module 6 (2021–2026) is now available for download. This release adds survey data from 17 polities including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Denmark, France, Montenegro, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and the United States. CSES Integrated Module Dataset (IMD): Phase 4 Release
